A little about me
Hello, I’m Bo Tirada, the artist and designer behind Floww Made. My creative with interior design as I had always been fascinated by colours, textures, structures, and materials. After working in the field for over a decade, I was inspired to transition my artistic curiosity into a more personal and playful way. The name 'Floww Made' comes from the idea of a river that is constantly in motion and is ever-changing. Inspired by this notion of movement and change, my vision for Floww Made is to constantly evolve and branch into different streams: collage, illustration, and botanical-inspired prints, which is my current focus.
The beginning
Several months ago, I had major surgery and spent the following couple of months confined indoors, recuperating. Although my movements were quite restricted, my thoughts kept drifting outdoors, eager to explore. So, while I was in bed, I began drawing little snapshots of what I missed about the 'outside world'. It started with sketches of my houseplants and the flowers visible through my window. As I recovered, I began taking short walks around my neighbourhood and found myself increasingly captivated by the beautiful native plants and flowers growing nearby. Being surrounded by nature always fills me with calm and curiosity. The vivid colours and the combinations of hues and patterns we’re so abundantly blessed with became the main inspiration for my 'Australian Plants' collection.
Wanting a more tactile experience, I started making paper collages. It let me play with different textures of paper and colour combinations inspired by the flora I came across during my walks.
Making collages brought a sense of joy and brightened up my days; it reminded me that even the smallest creative act has the ability to impact how you feel and heal. Since then, I have been imagining and creating artworks with the hope to share my moments of joy, play and colour with others.
